Hear about it when the set you want gets cheaper
Switch on a price alert for a set on your wishlist, and BrickDb tells you by e-mail or push when it reaches your price or its lowest price in 30 days.
Every set on your wishlist has a Price alert button. Tick “Mail me when this set gets cheaper” and, if you like, enter a target price: you hear as soon as the shops' best current price is at or under it. Without a target, you hear when that price is the lowest of the last 30 days. BrickDb never tells you about the same price twice – only a lower one sends the next message – and you get at most one message a day, however many alerts fire. It counts the shops in the country you gave on your account. Under Notifications on your account page you choose how BrickDb tells you: by e-mail, or as a push notification in the app or in your browser.
When does a price alert fire?
With a target price, when the best current price for a new copy in the shops is at or under it. Without a target, when that price is lower than every price of the 30 days before it. After a message, the alert waits for a price lower than the one you were told about, so a price that rises and falls back sends nothing. Only the shops in the country on your account count; with no country on your account, every shop counts. When you press “Got it!”, the set's alert switches itself off.
What else can BrickDb tell me about?
Under Notifications on your account page you choose, topic by topic, how BrickDb tells you: about price alerts, building instructions you asked for as a PDF, changes to the shared collections you are in, decisions about a MOC, an event or a store claim you submitted, and answers to your support requests. A decision that gives reasons always comes by e-mail. Two promotional topics – new sets in the themes you follow, and new events in your country – stay off until you switch them on, and their e-mails start only after you confirm them with a link.
