Your photo is not uploaded and not saved. Your device shrinks it to one pixel per stud (at most 96 × 96); only that small version is used to choose the colours, and it is not stored either.

Drag the frame to choose which part of your photo becomes the mosaic, and drag its corner to make it larger or smaller. The sliders below do the same from the keyboard. To fit the whole photo, make the frame as large as it goes.
